Meet Our Expositor/Preaching Minister

John J. Exum serves as our Expositor/Preaching Minister.

 

John grew up in the small town of Sparks, Georgia. He was immersed into Christ on September 13, 2013 at the Adel Church of Christ. He had attended there since birth with his family. Some little while after his immersion began his desire to proclaim the Word of God. He preached some prior to entering the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, TN in January of 2020. He also worked with congregations while being a student at MSOP.

While attending MSOP, he met Karly Coleman from Lakeland, TN via Facebook Dating. During their dating period, Karly was immersed into Christ. After John Graduated from the Memphis School of Preaching on January 19, 2022, John and Karly Coleman (now Karly Exum) married on January 21, 2022.

John began full-time with us on January 23, 2022. He also instructs online weekly for the Hyderabad School of Preaching in India as well as is the founder of Equipping Expositor's Ministry. John loves reading His Bible, spending time with Karly and family, other books, and occasionally hunting and fishing. John and Karly love the Lord and are passionate for Jesus Christ and His church at Hannibal.
